Awards
To acknowledge the outstanding work of those who have contributed to the development of international touring in the performing arts, CINARS presents three awards during its Biennale.
"PRIX DU CALQ" FOR BEST INTERNATIONAL TOUR:
The Prix du CALQ for Best International Tour is presented every two years to the Quebec organization that has distinguished itself through the exceptional quality of its touring outside Quebec. The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) is pleased to offer a $10 000 grant to the recipient.
This award was given at the CINARS Biennale 2016 to La Troupe DuBunker for its production Le NoShow (Canada - Quebec).

AWARD FOR BEST INTERNATIONAL SHOW PRESENTER:
The Award for Best International Presenter is presented to the venue or festival presenter who has contributed the most to enhancing the international profile of artists and companies from Canada. The Canada Council for the Arts offers a $10 000 grant to the recipient to facilitate the presence and promotion of Canadian artists within their region over the next two years.
This award was presented at the CINARS Biennale 2016 to Suzanne Walker from Sadler's Wells (United Kingdom).

NATIONAL ARTS CENTRE AWARD FOR DISTINGUISHED CONTRIBUTION TO TOURING:
The National Arts Centre Award honours exceptional achievement in fostering the touring of live performing arts in Canada. The recipient may be an individual, performing company, corporation or other organization and will receive $2,500 as well as a specially-designed porcelain sculpture by Gatineau’s Paula Murray.
This award was given at the CINARS Biennale 2016 to Paul Tanguay (Canada - Quebec).

URIEL LUFT AWARD:
The Uriel Luft Award is presented by CINARS to a person who has provided outstanding support to the development of performing arts abroad.
This award was given at the CINARS Biennale 2016 to Menno Plukker from Menno Plukker Theatre Agent Inc. (Canada - Quebec

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION AWARD:
Awarded by CINARS, the International Collaboration Award is a new prize dedicated to a Canadian company/organization and an international company/organization that has put together a collaborative project that benefits their community (co-production, residency, mediation, diffusion, etc.). The winners will get a 50% discount on their CINARS Biennale 2020 registrations.

PERFORMING ARTS LEADER AWARD:
For the first time, the CINARS Biennale will present an award recognizing a performing arts manager that stood out by their leadership, accomplishments, professionalism and innovative practice. In the goal of promoting the excellence of managers working in performing arts, this award crowns their dynamism and devotion as a manager in undertaking the mission of their organization.
DANCE AWARD-INTERNATIONAL DIFFUSION CATEGORY:
As part of its 35-year anniversary, CINARS has created the 8th Prix de la Danse de Montréal: the Dance Award-International Diffusion category. Awarded by CINARS, the prize is dedicated to a Canadian Dance Company that has put together an outstanding international tour. CINARS offers a $5 000 grant to the recipient.
